Do not repeat the same preparation cycle

More hours and more questions can still reproduce the same outcome if the underlying decision errors remain unchanged. A retake plan should begin by stating what will be different: topic allocation, method selection, reference navigation, time management, or the way improvement is verified.

Build testable hypotheses

• If confident errors cluster in one domain, investigate a governing-model misconception before adding volume.
• If correct answers require excessive time, practice recognition and reference navigation rather than only harder calculations.
• If uncertain correct answers are common, strengthen recall and decision rules before relying on that knowledge under pressure.
• If late-block performance drops, rehearse mixed-domain switching and sustained timed work.

Verify change, not familiarity

Reworking remembered questions can create fluency without demonstrating transfer. After focused review, use previously unseen questions in a separate session. Require appropriate accuracy, pacing, and confidence before moving the topic out of active review.
